Imagine waking up in total darkness, Struggling to find the light. Not knowing what the overwhelming thoughts are that plague your mind. Feeling like no one understands you or how to help you. One day you wake up and see a glimpse of light and that light guides you, listens to you, supports you, and shows you no judgement. Thats in essence is therapy or at least how I like to show up for my clients. We have all been through dark phases of our life and sometimes we need someone to hold a light and show us the way.
Hi, name is Kasey Seltner, I am currently a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland and a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health in the state of Delaware.
I have worked along side the Cecil County Trauma grant which has provided trauma therapy to children and families affected by substance use and trauma. I have had the experience of working with children, adolescents, and adults on a variety of issues. A few of those examples include dealing with behavioral problems, anger management, stress management, anxiety, adjustment issues, depression, family relational and communication issues, autism spectrum disorder, adhd, executive functioning skills, trauma, and early adulthood transitions.
I work from a client centered and solutions focus approach. I believe that each and every one of us has the tools we need to live a fulfilling life, sometimes we just need someone to remind us of that along the way. I believe in creating a safe and comfortable environment for my clients as I know that therapy can be both a beautiful/ uncomfortable process.
