Nicole Nimmons, MS, LCMFT

“I don’t know if I can take this anymore, my partner just won’t hear me, and I don’t want to fight anymore.”“My past relationships have been traumatic for me; how can I heal?”“I found out my partner has been having an affair, I’m not sure if I want to try to stay in the relationship, can you help?”“My partner and I have different parenting styles and it’s creating conflict amongst us. What should we do?”

Do any of these situations feel familiar to you? My ideal client is someone who is struggling with a current, recent, or past relationship and wants to process their experiences from holistic, systemic, and attachment-based lenses. I have advanced training and experience in working with individuals in relationships and family systems.

My name is Nicole Nimmons and I have been providing individual, couples, and family therapy since 2014. My training began at a nationally accredited Marriage and Family Therapy program, and I have since become licensed in Florida and Maryland. My past clinical experiences have ranged from working within a community mental health clinic serving military personnel and local families, counseling college-aged students, as well as providing Substance Abuse and Co-Occurring Disorder treatment to clients in central Florida.

I believe therapy is a journey of self-discovery. As an MFT, I have specialized training in systemic therapy models which includes Solution-Focused Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy. Systems Theory looks at you (and your presenting concern(s)) in the context of everything that has and is going on in your life. Contexts that might be easy to forget are there. My therapeutic mantra is, “Finding a way through it, together.” That it, could be any number of things. I understand that people sometimes get stuck in trying to fix their concerns on their own. My hope is that, together, we can work to resolve whatever is no longer working for you.

My current areas of focus are:

  • Family and Couple Concerns/Conflict
  • Parenting Concerns
  • Pre-Marital & Martial Issues
  • Phase of Life Transitions
  • Coming of Age Concerns
  • Blended Families
  • LGBTAQI+ Concerns

Thank you for your time! I hope to work with you someday soon.

Best,
